Senyo Cudjoe is our primary partner and long time friend. He is the Founder and President of Biblical Discipleship & Growth Ministry. Senyo is also Pastor of Fountain of Life Chapel International.
Senyo was born in Ghana, and has been serving local communities through church planting and community development for nearly 40 years.
He is an expert in reaching non-literate people groups, and has trained ministry leaders around the world.
Greetings from the New Fountain of Life Chapel under construction in Ho, Ghana Africa. We would like to take you inside for a short tour, but let’s first take a trip back in time and see how we have arrived to this point of construction. Fountain of Life Chapel is a vision of Senyo and Augustine Cudjoe dating back to the early 2000’s. They started out meeting at there home in Ho.
Sometime around 2007-08 they purchased a piece of property with the vision of someday having a chapel building. On a trip in 2009 team members along with members of the church gathered to pray over the land.
A few years passed, but in August of 2012 construction started and the first small chapel building was completed and opened in December of 2013.
Between 2013 and 2015 a second small building was built. This was constructed as the children’s ministry building. Seen in the background of the following picture.
Once again time passed and in December of 2017 work began on the larger main chapel building. Over the next several years work continued off and on as the Lord provided the funding.
trusses going up
roofing is completed
exterior being plastered
doors and security bars being installed
to were we are today!
Now come with us and let’s go inside! Entering through the front doors you come into the main sanctuary, and in front of you is the stage and baptism area through the arch.
This is the view from the stage looking back across the sanctuary.
Above the front entrance following the stairs on the right. They take you up to the video and sound equipment rooms.
As stated before, the area in back of the stage and through the center arch is the baptismal.
Directly under the stage and baptismal area is what Senyo has called the Glory Room. This is a place dedicated as a prayer room.
Also on this lower level there’s room for a restroom

along with office spaces that are still unfinished.
Now back upstairs and behind the block wall and on either side of the baptismal area there’s plenty of room for more offices, a changing room and two more rest rooms. Once again these areas are still under construction and unfinished.
This is the corridor behind the stage leading to the back offices and restrooms.

As you can see, we have come a long ways and much has been accomplished. But there is a lot of work to be done still. We ask that you to join us in prayer, as we continue seeking ways to see this construction through to completion. Lord we thank you for all that you have provided and continue to provide. All Glory is yours!
From the very start of 2025 it seemed as though a mission trip was not to be. People’s lives were busy, things were changing and there was a feeling that the focus was on wanting to finish the new Fountain of Life Chapel that has been under construction for many years. With the chapel just over 50 percent completed and so much work ahead and fundraising to do. One thing at a time, funny thing, that can be man’s point of view, but the Lord has a much broader vision than we do. As the 2025 Annual Children’s Retreat drew closer the Holy Spirit started working on past team members and the need to be in Ghana became clearer and clearer. So at the last a small team came together and things began to fall into place. Even as the trip started taking shape, the enemy began his attacks, family members were involved in auto accidents, one was stricken with serious heart issues and another was being scheduled for last minute surgery. While the surgery could not be overcome, the other attacks were beaten back and the team continued marching forward. On August 2nd at 6 AM the team departed Sky-harbor in Phoenix airport flying to JFK in New York. After a long layover and a longer 5-1/2 delay they departed for the long 10 hour flight to Accra, Ghana Africa, then the 3 hour ride to Ho and finally checking in to their hotel. Oh you don’t think you can do this, wait read on and understand the mission. It’s 9AM Sunday morning in Ghana, that’s 7 hours ahead of the time at home. You finally get your luggage and meet up with your partner Senyo who is now sharing the sad news that someone close to you in the community of Klokope has been called home to the Lord. Senyo shares the Togbui Ferguson has passed away. You now begin to understand part of the reason you’ve been called to this mission. Since 2009 you’ve been working on building a working relationship with him and the community he leads. You understand that the joyful visit you were expecting has a new meaning. Bring a compassionate message to the family and the community. Then wondering what will the change in leadership mean. Will we be excepted, welcomed into the community. What will the future hold?
Tuesday evening, August 5th the children from the rural communities begin to arrive for this year’s retreat. As they unload from the vans that are bringing them each child is registered then each community is gathered for a group picture. Once everyone has arrived and checked in they gathered in a large group where they were greeted by Senyo and the team. Dinner was then served and afterwards they went and played games. Then it’s lights out and off to bed.
Wednesday morning and each day of the retreat begins with waking up the children at 5am for breakfast. Then it’s off for devotions and morning services beginning at 7:00. Each day after morning service the team members would share three teaching lessons before breaking for lunch, followed by two lessons in the afternoon. After the last afternoon session dinner is served and then it was time for some fun and games, jumping rope, soccer, and beach balls.
After each large group teaching the children would breakup in to smaller groups were they would dig deeper into what they had heard with a question and answer session.
Over the past 3 years the retreat has grown from 40 children in 2023 to 125 children this year. Of the 125 children, 75 attended this year for the first time. Each of these new children received a new Bible signed by each team member and was inscribed with a personal scripture inside along with a new pencil and small journal.
On Saturday afternoon 10 children were baptized, excepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Then after a short closing ceremony the children loaded into vans and returned to the homes.
Sunday was spent attending Fountain of Life Chapel for church and spending the afternoon with Senyo, his wife Augustine and the children and grandchildren. Augustine who so graciously prepares many of the teams meals once again had prepared dinner for us. Their gracious hospitality is aways a treat and we look forward to that part of each trip. The work the family puts in to welcome us is one thing, but the time we have together is so valuable to us. From spending time with each other in the kitchen sharing recipes to sharing family stories we strive on building relationships. Not just in our homes but out in the rural communities.

It’s now Monday morning and we’re off to Klokope. As stated earlier, we have been working with this community now going on 16 years. With new leadership before us we’re not sure what, if any changes are coming into place. When we arrive things appear to be different, we’re not greeted by the usual drumming and dancing as in past visits. We quickly learn that most of the men and women are out working on the road as they have loads of gravel coming and are waiting for the road grader. The new Togbui, Klo Azumah 111 is waiting are arrival along with a few other community leaders. Our partner Senyo introduced us to the new Togbui and then shared the long history of our relationship with Togbui Ferguson and the many blessings that had come to Klokope such as electricity, clean water, KVIP latrine the many sponsored children and the overall improved health of the community. He along with the team leader shared their desire to continue to work on the relationship started so many years ago and to continue the churches and the spiritual health of the people. Togbui Azumah 111 stated prior to the team leaving that he too wanted to continue the relationship and welcomed us to come back.

This year’s mission trip came to a close on August 13th with the ride back to Accra and an early morning flight back home on the 14th. There was a lot to take in and a lot to do with many long days. But our Lord is faithful and he is with us always. Senyo has already planned the 2026 youth for August 4th through the 8th. The theme is, Witness For Christ! If you are interested in taking part of a future mission trip you can message us at moveafrica.org. Watch for farther updates on next year’s trip and construction updates on the New Fountain of Life Chapel.
On Saturday September 21,2024 we learned of answered prayers as a number of our sponsored children of Kpevenu-Tsati were baptized at the Fountain of Life Chapel International. They are part the 27 who were baptized that day.
Please remember these new believers along with the people of Kpevenu-Tsati in your prayers. And watch for more answered prayers as the Lord continues to provide. Greater things are yet to come!
Today at the Fountain of Life Chapel International in Ho, Ghana Africa 27 children and young adults accepted the Lord as their savior and were baptized. These 27 new believers are all from the community of Kpevenu-Tsati. Join us and keep them in your prayers.
Look at all these beautiful smiling faces.
Senyo praying over them prior to the baptisms.
One of the amazing things is that, six (6)of sponsored children were baptized today and they were:
Godfred Agbornyi
Desmond Logodzo
Gideon Ahlidza
Eric Akpadze
Alex Logodzo
Elikplim Gleve
We are so thankful for each and every child sponsor. Your prayers and financial support truly do make a difference.
Since our first introduction into Kpevenu-Tsati there has been much prayer over this community. Prayers for the orphan children, prayers for clean water, and the general and spiritual health of the people, and the desire for a church here. The day the team was visiting this year the people were lead to hold hands and form a large circle. Then they were lead in prayer, praying over their families, their farms, their community! Our partner Senyo has shared that over the last two Sundays a group of young adults along with many children have begun meeting and sharing God’s word. This group with blessings from the community leaders have reached out asking for a church to be planted. Together with Fountain of Life Chapel International and this group of believers we are coming together in prayer over this new opportunity.
Our amazing trip is now over and we are safely back home this evening. As we spend time decompressing and taking in these last 2 weeks. We want to say thank you for all of your prayers and support. You too are very important team members.
Sunday church service before the team heads to Accra for their early departure Monday morning. We were blessed to take part in today’s service and will definitely remember our time here. Thank you Jesus!
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we begin our journey home. We are blessed by all of our prayer warriors. Thank you Jesus
Saturday and it’s time for closing ceremonies. But not before teaching on being resilient and on temptation. Then saying the Lord’s Prayer in their native EWE language. We also shared in taking communion together and were blessed to take part in three more baptisms. We are also blessed in being able to purchase 50 bibles written in their native language. Spending time, we wrote personalized messages to each new believer in the Bible we presented it them. The 2024 children’s retreat has come to an end and it’s time to say, Mia-Dogo, “we’ll meet again”.
Thank you Jesus for an amazing trip. Lord as we now prepare for our journey home, we pray seeking travel mercies for the children’s safe return home. Our safe travel and Senyo’s safety on his way home.
Today is Friday and it’s already day three of the retreat. Today’s lessons come from Daniel 3:8-25. Three Hebrew men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the fiery furnace. And that no matter what, we are never alone. Jesus is always right there with us. The story of Naanan’s healing of Leprosy was also taught leading into a message of both salvation and baptism. These teachings lead many to seek salvation wanting to be baptized. There was a technical problem as there was a leak in the baptismal in the new chapel building that’s under construction. After a short break and refilling the tank, we celebrated by preforming 17 baptisms.
Today we also learned that many of the children have access to social media. So time was taken to share and talk about the dangers of it.
Dear Heavenly Father, we pray Lord that those that have excepted you as their savior will walk closely with you. That they will be a shining light in their homes, and in their Communities. We pray that those who have now heard your teachings will in time hear and answer your call to accept you into their lives. We ask these things in Jesus name, Amen
