When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am El-Shaddai—‘God Almighty.’ Serve me faithfully and live a blameless life. I will make a covenant with you, by which I will guarantee to give you countless descendants.” At this, Abram fell face down on the ground. Then God said to him, “This is my covenant with you: I will make you the father of a multitude of nations! What’s more, I am changing your name. It will no longer be Abram. Instead, you will be called Abraham, for you will be the father of many nations. I will make you extremely fruitful. Your descendants will become many nations, and kings will be among them! “I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants after you, from generation to generation. This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you. Genesis 17:1-7
The Lord told me that: Most of our political leaders go to church but are not part of the church. They speak with the tongue the church but their hearts are empty of Christ.
Let’s look at God’s perspective of a nation. “As for me, behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations” – Genesis 17:4. So, where there is no father there is no nation.
Now, males are raised into fathers from homes that have fathers. There are homes where women have become fathers playing the role of a mother and an added role of a father. May God Almighty bless them. The child from that home obviously lacks the input of a real father.
A child grown from the above home obviously lacks the quality of a father to lead a nation according to God’s standard. Another child is from a home where there is a father who came from a fatherless home and therefore never knew who a father is, so could not father his children no matter how he tried.
So, you see, from God’s point of view, problem of nations is a fatherless problem. When children struggle to grow on their own, he actually lacks the mentorship to lead a nation in any way. This is the challenge of leaders in Africa. Some came from fatherless homes and therefore are disqualified by God’s standard to lead a nation.
Now, trace the lives of prisoners and armed robbers for instance to their roots and you will discover that most of them are actually from fatherless homes. Some may not end up in prison but may end up serving as officials in a nation.
Such officials become so heartless in discharging their jobs just because they don’t have in them the imprints of a real father. So for our nations to be rid of certain problems, men shouldn’t only enjoy having women to their names, but also brace up as fathers and play their roles as real fathers who have the fear of God in their lives.
What I discovered is many of the souls that attend our churches need fatherly mentoring. The earlier we know the fatherly void of these souls and picked them for fathering, the better for the kingdom.
LET’S PRAY
Heavenly Father, give me grace enough to always remember that, just as a tree without roots is dead, a nation without real fathers is dead. Lord Jesus, make me a channel of love to mentor every male child that comes my way to the glory of Your Holy Name.
