August 16,2024 Day 2
This evening Senyo reports that the team traveled to Kpevenu-Tsati. A community that Move Africa has been working in since 2015. A little history on our relationship there. Senyo introduced us into this community that year on our trip. Then as the team departed they felt the calling to sponsor 30 orphan children in which 17 are still sponsored today while 13 have turned 18 years old and aged out. In 2018 we tried to bore a well in 3 different locations wanting to replace there stagnant water source with clean freshwater. None of the locations produced water. In 2022 the government piped in clean water after much prayer. This is a remote farming community approximately an hour and a half from Ho. We continue to pray over them, seeking the strong presence of the Holy Spirt, drawing them closer to our Lord and Savior.
Following are some sights and sounds of today’s visit.
Pastor Jack giving a lesson on love and how love will make one go out of his/her comfort zone to do something extraordinary for someone.
A man hearing Pastor Jack’s message was moved with compassion towards his community’s water issues, spoke to Pastor Jack about the broken down borehole to which the pastor went to exam it. Upon Pastor Jack’s inspection of the borehole, he realized that this chain in the borehole system was torn. And he made a request for a cable to be brought to him so he could try to fix the borehole system for the community. The problem was fixed easily and this will save the community from any further water crisis.
Word of how Pastor Jack fixed the borehole system got the womenfolk and out of excitement, the women began to sing a song of praise to God. The song speaks about how we benefit a lot of things when we put our trust in God.
As the members of the community are broken up into smaller groups, team members share a message from the word of our Lord.
Josh reaching out to the young men.
Such a glorious day. As Senyo so often says. God is good, all the time. Continue praying for continued safety, strength, rest.
