August 24th, 2024 Day 9
Today is Friday and it’s already day three of the retreat. Today’s lessons come from Daniel 3:8-25. Three Hebrew men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the fiery furnace. And that no matter what, we are never alone. Jesus is always right there with us. The story of Naanan’s healing of Leprosy was also taught leading into a message of both salvation and baptism. These teachings lead many to seek salvation wanting to be baptized. There was a technical problem as there was a leak in the baptismal in the new chapel building that’s under construction. After a short break and refilling the tank, we celebrated by preforming 17 baptisms.
Today we also learned that many of the children have access to social media. So time was taken to share and talk about the dangers of it.
Dear Heavenly Father, we pray Lord that those that have excepted you as their savior will walk closely with you. That they will be a shining light in their homes, and in their Communities. We pray that those who have now heard your teachings will in time hear and answer your call to accept you into their lives. We ask these things in Jesus name, Amen
